We are so grateful to Sudbury native Melissa Stolper who ran this year’s Boston Marathon in honor of Max and in support of the Max McCormick Memorial Foundation. She raised over $6,000 in just 1 month and we are excited to say that 100% of these funds raised will go to help support local fire fighters and community related programs around fire safety.
We had a group of 30+ supporters decked out in our Max McCormick Memorial Foundation t-shirts, cheering for Melissa at various points along the route. The weather report was looking pretty gloomy that day, but just as we all started to arrive at the course to cheer on the runners, the clouds opened up and the bright sun came shining down. We knew Max was there with us in spirit that day as he is always. It was an incredible day, so much emotion, love and support from our community. Thank you Melissa and all those who supported her!
